Part 1:
Write about who your real life hero is and explain what you know about your hero. Also explain why this person is your hero.

Part 2: What Superhero does our modern day world need? Write about a day-in-the-life of the Superhero you imagine. Don't forget to include some really COOL Super Powers!!

(9/19) Writing Assignment: 
Write a 200-word description of a place. You can use any and all descriptions but sight: you can describe what it feels like, sounds like, smells like and even tastes like. Try to write the description in such a way that people will not miss the visual details.

Create a personal web page.   Create a new folder inside your Computer Science folder called Web.  This is where you will save your web page and graphics to. Save your web page as your name. On the first page include information about you, your family, your interests, your goals.  Off of your main page include links to at least 2 other pages. One will be about a club or an activity you are involved in. The other page will be a schedule of your school day with links to the teacher's web page.  Make sure to add a background.
Web page must include the following elements:
*Background
*Table
*Graphics
*Graphic or horizontal lines (inserted as dividers between sections)
*Word Art
*Include a scanned or a digital picture of yourself.

You recently were informed that you won a prize of $1000.00.  The only stipulation was that you must spend your money in 10 different ways.  Create a Table that has a Heading Row which includes the Name of the store, the item, and the cost. Below your Heading you will have 10 rows with the specific information on how you plan to spend the money.

Incorporate the following into your table:
__Include one cell that you rotate your text in.
__Use different alignments in the table cells.
__Apply cell borders to cells in the table.
__Apply cell shading to cells in the table.
__Change the font color in the Heading Row.

1) Type a bulleted list of five things you'd like to accomplish in the next year. These can be goals for school, work, or personal development. Examples might include earning a better grade in math, completing a project on the job, or getting in better shape by exercising and eating right. (Format your bullet to be a picture you locate form the Internet) 

2) Sort the list in alphabetical order.

3) Type a numbered list that includes at least five steps describing how you expect to accomplish one of the items in the bulleted list.

Draft an announcement about an upcoming event in your life. For example, the event could be your birthday, confirmation, a party, or a vacation trip...
*Right -align your name and address below the title.
*Add two paragraphs that describe the event in detail. Justify these paragraphs.
*Add other lines giving the time and location of the event as well as directions. Use left, right, & center alignments to organize and format other lines.
*Try different vertical alignments until you settle on the one that makes the document look the best.
*Apply fonts, font styles, and font sizes to the document text. Change the fonts to emphasize various parts of the document. For example, you will probably want to highlight the title by giving it a large, distinctive font.
*Apply alignments to improvethe appearance of the document.
*Name this document Announcement  when you save it in your folder.
*Print it out and hand it in.
